Day 1: Cochin
At your arrival in Cochin our travel executives transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Cochin - Munnar
Cochin is a city with the leftovers of the colonial period. In the morning you are taken on a sightseeing tour to Fort Cochin, St Francis Church (where Vasco De Gama was buried), Mattancherry Palace and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth. In the afternoon after the lunch, we take you to Munnar (at a drive of 120 kilometers), an astonishingly beautiful hill resort.
Day 3: Eravikulam – Periyar
In the morning enjoy trekking with a naturalist in Eravikulam wildlife sanctuary. At the sanctuary see different species of birds and endangered Nilgiri Thar, a rare species of mountain goat. After lunch take drive to Periyar (at a distance of 110 kilometers). Periyar is a well-known sanctuary where you can see large herds of elephants, bison and deer. Have an overnight stay in Periyar.
Day 4: Kumarakom
Early in the morning take a boat ride and visit the various spice plantations where cardamom, nutmeg and pepper are grown in Periyar. After lunch drive through agricultural areas down the hills to reach a backwater destination, Kumarakom. At Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, take a boat ride during sunset to see the birds relaxing at night. Have an overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 5: Kumarakom
In the morning explore the local area or just relax amidst the beautiful surroundings. At the resort at noon your houseboat will pick you up and take you on a remarkable journey through the coconut palmed canals. The houseboat crew will show you the places of interest on route and take care of your every need, cook you delicious Kerala food.
Day 6: Allepey – Kovalam
After a night’s stay in house boat, get ready to reach Allepey in the morning. After breakfast you are taken to Kovalam Beach (at a drive of 4hrs). Enjoy relaxing out at the tranquil beach or at the Ayurvedic beach resort that offers therapies for whole body, mind and soul rejuvenation.
Day 7 and 8: Trivandrum
At the end of this splendid journey, you are transferred to the Trivandrum airport in the evening for your onward flight to the desired destination or your way back home.
